Our History

Chris Way started his law career in a traditional way – working for a large law firm. He soon recognized that he practiced law in a less traditional, and more creative, way than most legal practitioners. He discovered that creativity is more than musical or artistic ability, and that his talent lay in finding ways to help other business people shape an idea to make it practical and stronger.

This led Chris to found Way Law in 2012. Since our founding, Way Law has grown. We’ve launched innovative approaches to the practice of law such as our unique Strategic General Counsel service, and our standalone FlightPlan proactive planning process. We’ve also expanded beyond the Greater Richmond area into Tidewater Virginia, and enlarged our staff to include two associate attorneys and a team of paralegals and administrative support personnel – all dedicated to Way Law’s commitment to do law differently.

Today, Way Law serves a thriving and vibrant clientele that’s come from word of mouth. We’re flourishing, in large part due to our wonderful clients sharing their stories and successes with their networks. Want to experience the Way Law difference? We look forward to talking with you!
